This level requires further training and experience. Once this level has been reached you can dive with any other diver without the need to dive with an instructor.
New to diving up to Open Water Diver
A series of lectures are held each week starting to best meet the needs of the group, though these normally take place during the winter. The practical exercises that need to be completed are carried out in the pool by arrangement and this would normally take from October through to February to complete. This time allows for flexibility of moving lectures for those not able to attend and to fit in a fair number of purely social evenings.
There would then be a couple of visits to a "confined water" location to introduce salt water diving followed by about four dives with the instructor in the sea to complete the training.
Once this level has been reached you will be able to dive with the club in a supervised group normally diving with an instructor.
